Spending a fortune on Starbucks® coffees? We were too. Until we started making them at home with our Keurig® brewer. We got tired of running to the coffee shop, standing in line, and dolling out five bucks a pop.
We wanted:
We love this Espresso Con Panna: Keurig® style, and think you will too. It requires only four ingredients and costs less than $1.00 to make. Plus, you can personalize the taste with a sprinkle of cinnamon or shaved chocolate!
You can make Starbucks® drinks with your Keurig® brewer easily. You will just need to adapt the ingredients to suit the capabilities of your coffee maker. And, since there are Starbucks® pods for Keurig® brewers, the coffee part is easy!
Espresso Con Panna is an Italian drink that means espresso with cream. But, the cream in Espresso Con Panna is extra special, or we should say extra sweet. It is called Chantilly cream, made by whipping heavy cream with sugar and vanilla.
Since espresso is technically a brewing method, you can not make a true version with a Keurig® coffee maker. However, you can get close. Several types of K-Cup® coffees mimic the taste of espresso. You can choose an espresso roast pod, dark roast, or extra bold. The goal is to get a big coffee taste to compliment the sweet Chantilly cream.
