4 Epic Flavored Iced Tea Recipes

Only time and sunshine can create refreshing flavors in homemade iced tea. After a day of steeping in rays and the right hands to stir in sweet sugar – the taste is second to none. But, who has that kind of time? What if you could come close to that experience with your Keurig® brewer? These are modern times after all. We should put our newfound conveniences to use. We have done that to make four flavored iced tea recipes that you will love! They come together in about five minutes and need simple ingredients.

Flavored Iced Tea Recipes

Yields: 8-10 Ounces

Apple Cinnamon Green Tea

Iced tea recipes with fruit offer a sugar-free sweetness. Plus, when paired with tart green tea, the flavors complement one another. With the addition of cinnamon, your metabolism will get a boost as well! You will only need four ingredients for this recipe that are likely already in your kitchen!

Ingredients:

• 8-10 Ounces Water
• 1 Green Tea K-Cup® pod
• 1 Cinnamon Sticks
• 1/4 Apple, sliced

Directions:

1. Brew your green tea K-Cup® pod on the eight or ten-ounce water setting of your Keurig® machine. 
2. Add the cinnamon sticks, and slices of apple to the water.
3. Cover the tea, leaving the apple and cinnamon inside.
4. Place in the fridge for an hour. After the hour, remove the apple and cinnamon sticks.
5. Add ice and sugar if desired and enjoy!

Peppermint Green Tea

Ingredients:

• 8-10 Ounces Water
• 1 Green Tea K-Cup® pod
• 1 Large Fresh Mint Sprigs

Directions:

1. Brew your green tea K-Cup® pod on the eight or ten-ounce water setting of your Keurig® machine.
2. Place the mint sprig in the water and allow it to steep for 10 minutes.
3. Cover the tea and leave the mint leaf.
4. Place in the fridge for an hour.
5. After an hour, remove the mint leaves. Add ice and sugar if desired.

Citrus Black Tea

Black tea is a popular choice for iced teas. The thick flavor holds up well to the ice without tasting thin or watered down. Our iced black tea recipes begin with citrus. It is common to see orange-flavored black tea packets. And, even more common to add lemon. In this recipe, we chose to do both. You will get a punch of vitamin C as well as bright flavor notes for your iced black tea.

Ingredients:

• 8-10 Ounces Water
• 1 Black Tea K-Cup® pod
• 1/2 Lemon
• 1/2 Orange

Directions:

1. Cut the lemon and orange in half and then in slices.
2. Brew your black tea K-Cup® pod on the eight or ten-ounce water setting of your Keurig® machine.
3. Add the slices of lemon and orange to the tea.
4. Cover, and place in the fridge for an hour.
5. After the hour, remove the fruit, add ice and sugar if desired.

Peach Black tea

Our second fruit teas recipe uses peaches. We suggest making this when the fruit is in season in your area. For us, that is June – peaches literally drip with juice after each bite. That kind of flavor is perfect for this iced peach tea recipe.

Ingredients:

• 8-10 Ounces Water
• 1 Black Tea K-Cup® pod
• 1/2 Peach

Directions:

1. Cut the peach in half and then into slices.
2. Brew your black tea K-Cup® pod on the eight or ten-ounce water setting of your Keurig® machine.
3. Add the sliced peaches to the tea.
4. Leave the peaches, cover the tea, and put it in the fridge for an hour.
5. After the hour, remove the fruit, add ice and sugar if desired.

*Tip: Add 1 ounce of whiskey for a Crown Royal peach tea!
