What kind of maintenance is required for my brewer?

Regular cleaning (de-scaling) will prolong the life of the appliance. Scale is harmless, but left unattended, it can hinder the brewer performance. For optimal performance and taste we suggest using distilled water in your brewer. We recommend de-scaling every 6 months or every 3 months if you are using hard water. The following video will guide you through the process:

De-Scaling your Keurig® Brewer

My Keurig® brewer has a slow flow or is only dispensing half a cup of water, what should I do?

Either your system needs to be cleaned/de-scaled (see instructions above) or the needle that punctures the K-Cup® pod is clogged. The brewers come with a small tool placed underneath the drip tray for unclogging the needle. Simple stick that tool into the needle to remove the clog. You should then raise and lower the handle of the brewer or open and close the drawer (depending on what model you are using) without adding a K-Cup® pod. Place a cup on the drip tray and push the brew button. This will run hot water through the needle to assure that the clog has been removed.

How do I brew a taller or larger cup such as a travel mug?

Most brewers are equipped with a removable drip tray. When removed it will allow enough clearance for a travel mug to be filled.

Is there a warranty on my Keurig® brewer?

Yes, all brewers come with a 1 year limited warranty (from the date of purchase). Don't forget to mail in the warranty card that came with your system. The warranty does not cover damages caused by services performed by anyone other than a Keurig® brewer or Bunn authorized representative, use of parts other than genuine Keurig® brewer or Bunn parts or external causes such as abuse, misuse, inappropriate power supply or acts of God.

What are the electrical requirements of Keurig® brewers?

The brewer draws 10 amps. We recommend and electrical connection of 15 amps and a 3 prong grounded outlet with a ground fault interruption (gfi). Click here for more information regarding Keurig® brewers power usage.

How hot is the water dispensed from the brewer?

The temperature of the water in the brewer is 192 degrees F. Once it is dispensed into your cup the temperature ranges between 180- 185 degrees F. Click here to learn more about Keurig® brewing temperatures.
